That was definitely the case at today's Gucci show, where one model added a prosthetic third eye to her makeup look.
It's clear that Gucci's Alessandro Michele is heavily influenced by the worlds of film and history; previous sources of runway inspiration demonstrate his take on iconic periods of history ranging from the Renaissance to the '80s. At Milan Fashion Week, the latest epoch on the creative director's mind was the the postmodern. Case in point: runway models reimagined as "cyborgs" that are questioning identity as a social construct.
